George Washington on Horse

Visitor Center Exhibits

Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill, CT

MDA designed all Visitor Center exhibits for one of the largest exposed trackways of dinosaur footprints in North America dating from the Jurassic Period. Exhibits include interactive elements on dinosaur behavior and geology, a modern-day roadcut for geological interpretation, and a recreation of a Jurassic forest with an 80’ long backdrop and full-scale modeled dinosaurs and reptiles. MDA also created the program for interior renovations and mechanical systems and redesigned the giftshop/admissions area.

MDA designed seven exterior site exhibits, including a panel on the geologic timeline covering 4.5 billion years imbedded in the concrete walkway, trail maps and botanical illustrations of local plantings, and information on the track casting area.
