Latin Jazz: La Combinación Perfecta

Latin Jazz celebrates a moveable mélange of musical styles and sounds. The bilingual (English/Spanish) traveling exhibition explores the history, cultural context, musicians, places, instruments, and dance aesthetic behind the development of this musical genre. It features instruments, documents, photographs, musical scores, programs, album covers, and other artifacts. Maps, audiovisual stations, vintage film footage, and oral history interviews enhance the exhibition’s story.
MDA’s innovative use of tension fabric structures with large-scale graphics created a lightweight, ‘no-tools required’ exhibit that was easily assembled and disassembled, requiring miminal crating while providing maximum visual impact.
