Distinctively Delaware

The permanent exhibition explores the sites, inventions, and the cultural and social history, unique to Delaware. The design integrates the historical society’s collection into theatrical recreations and abstract sets, using both audiovisual and interactive technologies. Three organizing themes provide create circulation paths — Crossroads, People of Delaware and Made in Delaware — allowing visitors to move through areas chronologically and thematically.
MDA provided conceptual through final design documentation, fabrication and bid drawings, specifications, selection and supervision of media and interactive software and hardware vendors, and exhibit fabrication and installation.
